iWalk.2020.01.06 Progress

It is only the second day of my walking experiment so I am reluctant to make a rush for judgement on the outcome. There seems to be no detrimental effect and it's possible that there may be some beneficial effects. If nothing else, wandering around the neighborhood is an interesting and enjoyable activity.

My proposed target is to walk for sixty minutes (thirty minutes minimum) in the morning and to ride my bicycle for twenty miles in the afternoon. That schedule will change as the year progresses and temperatures rise. This is activity not athletic training, so I do not think it is necessary to schedule rest days, which will take care of themselves on days where there are conflicting activities or inclement weather.

Tomorrow and the next day I have appointments in the middle of the day. I may be able work around them and it seems a shame not to take advantage of the fine weather we are having early in the year.
