iRide.2020.02.11 H&C
The temperature recorded on STRAVA by the Klimat.app was a constant 50°F (10°C) throughout my ride today. The perceived temperature was polarized (literally) by the direction of travel. Heading south into the sunshine with a tailwind was easy pedaling and comfortable. Heading north into a cold headwind was considerably less comfortable even when pedaling harder to prevent a low-speed stall. East or west travel in a crosswind was middling as you might expect and subject to an unpredictable yaw relative to the airflow.
All in all shorts and two tops was not bad for early February at a time when commercial aircraft are breaking flight-speed records by surfing a 200+mph jet stream. I was somewhat under-enthused about taking photos and more concerned with keeping going—albeit I did not set any speed records even by the standards of my own 'umble hefforts—and keeping warm without constantly adding and subtracting layers of clothing.
