iWalk.2020.03.14 Wrongcall

I went for a walk before the rain that never came. I could have gone for a bicycle ride. It's the luck of the draw, but either way I played it as a winning hand. I think Jimmy Webb could probably cobble those last three sentences into the lyrics for a song that might easily be the equal of 'McArthur Park', which has often been voted the worst song ever. "Spring was never waiting for us…" They don't write songs like that anymore.

Although the spring rains have arrived it has not so far been cold or windy enough to significantly retrograde the seasonal growing and multiplying. There is an expression in the old country: "Ne'er cast a clout till May be out." That's probably over cautious for the latitude and micro-climate hereabouts, but The Wasteland cautions us that "April is the cruelest month". I will take both warnings under advisement and plan accordingly.
