Hello! Don't just stand there; go away!

It was another wonderful day for a ride. I stopped often to enjoy the countryside: the perfume from the creosote bushes in the hot sunshine was almost overpowering; the birds were busy—I observed what I presumed was courtship behavior among the red-wing blackbirds and watched as a small bird chased away a crow, which I think was more interested in a nearby roadkill rabbit than in harming other birds or their young at that juncture.

If you wondered what the odd-looking machine was in the post for yesterday then today you may observe its output in the form of an extruded concrete kerb & gutter combined. The crew are putting in a new road at Copper Rock, so it looks as though I may be able to add some additional mileage (or perhaps just some yardage) to my regular route.
